Announcing the Movement Resilience Fund!
The Movement Resilience Fund is a new pooled fund committed to supporting Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients, and other immigrant leaders without permanent status within social justice organizations. This fund is designed to provide nonprofit employees and movement leaders with comprehensive screenings, legal support, and other assistance in navigating pathways toward more permanent, lawful immigration status.
Help Support Us
Our goal is to raise $5 million so that the immigrant justice movement and broader social justice sector can maintain resiliency and continue to thrive.

What is the Movement Resilience Fund?
Housed at NEO Philanthropy’s Four Freedoms Fund, the Movement Resilience Fund aims to support social justice organizations in assisting their DACA, TPS, and other immigrant employees screen and apply for more permanent forms of immigration relief. This includes visas, employment-based pathways, advanced parole, and other legal avenues.
We are coordinating with trusted community partners to offer comprehensive screenings and legal assistance, especially for organizations lacking the resources and expertise to manage these complex processes on their own. We seek to support eligible immigrant leaders through the entire process, helping them secure more permanent status and stability.
Why did FFF start this fund?
Since DACA launched in 2012, thousands of DACA recipients have stepped up to become indispensable activists, community organizers, directors, and leaders within social justice organizations – including a number of FFF grantee organizations.
Unfortunately, DACA is at imminent risk of termination due to litigation, which will likely reach the US Supreme Court as early as spring of 2025; a future presidential administration could also end DACA and other forms of immigration relief. Should DACA be terminated, thousands of DACA recipients working in and volunteering for non-profit organizations will lose their work permits, with devastating consequences for movement organizations that have come to depend on the leadership of immigrant youth. The temporary nature of DACA, coupled with ongoing legal and political uncertainties, has placed significant stress on immigrant leaders, their families, and the organizations that depend on them. To mitigate this potential crisis, it is essential to support DACA recipients, TPS recipients, and other immigrant leaders in obtaining more permanent forms of immigration relief before the court issues a decision.
